JAZZ KAMP KRANJ is organized for professional and amateur jazz, pop and classical musicians, who want to improve their knowledge and their skills in playing jazz and pop music on their instrument and in different groups ...

You will spend your time in the beautiful and creative environment with top jazz and pop musicians and educators from Slovenia and abroad.
The attendees will be approached individually during the camp (workshop) and the lessons will be adjusted to their musical knowledge.

WHAT WILL YOU BENEFIT FROM THE KAMP?

The participants, who work in jazz and pop music, will be in contact with top musicians and in that way have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills and also get new ideas for their work in the music business.
The participants (educators), who come from the classical music area, will have the chance to be exposed to the new musical experience, new perspective in playing other styles of music and also broaden their musical perception and awareness.

HOW WILL THE EDUCATING PROCESS LOOK LIKE?

You will participate in individual lessons and group playing such as small groups and big band. Evening jam sessions will give you the opportunity to test your new knowledge. Along with the camp there will be an international jazz festival with well known guests.

WHEN WILL JAZZ KAMP KRANJ TAKE PLACE?

Jazz Kamp will take place from 19. 8. 2011 to 28. 8. 2011, the lessons will be from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.00 to 19.00. In the evenings you will have the chance to attend the international jazz festival with guests and jam sessions.

WHERE IS THE KAMP LOCATED?

The individual lessons will take place in the Music school in Kranj, evening jam sessions and the festival will be going on in the garden of the Café gallery on Pungert.
The accommodation is organized in Student home in Kranj not far from the venue.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF TUITION AND ACCOMMODATION?

The tuition for participating is 200 EUR(20% VAT included) and includes registration for one main instrument (piano, drums, saxophone, vibraphone, guitar, trumpet, trombone, guitar, singing, bass or bass guitar). In case you would like to register for additional main instrument(s), the tuition increases for the half of the total amount of the registration fee or 100 EUR (20%VAT included) for each additional instrument. To register for group workshops (improvisation, theory, harmony, rhythm and reading, small ensemble and orchestra), the fee does not change. In case you decide to attend several workshops, the schedule will be coordinated. The tuition is to be paid in whole at least 3 days prior to the beginning of the Kamp onto our Bank account No.: 30000-0100089389, IBAN: SI56300000100089389 (Banka Volksbank; BIC: SLBVSI2X) or immediately upon your arrival at the Kamp.

The participants, who will stay at the Student home in Kranj during the camp should make a reservation and pay the expenses separately from the tuition for the workshop (the tuition does not cover the accommodation expenses).
Accommodation at the Student home (VAT and the tourist tax incl.):
1/3 (price per person in a triple bedded room) 12,00 EUR/day
1/2 (price per person in a double bedded room) 14,00 EUR/day
1/1 (price per person in a single bedded room) 16,00 EUR/day

Additional payment for breakfast (during the week only): 3,00 EUR/day
The costs for accommodation are to be paid at your departure.
